Hertz vehicles cannot be driven into and/or dropped off in any Middle-East country, nor in Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Egypt, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Iceland, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.

 

Hertz vehicles cannot be dropped off in the following countries / territories: Corsica, Gibraltar, Hungary, Malta and Poland.

 

The following vehicle groups cannot be driven into Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia:

 

 (H) BMW 3 Series SW 4x4 - GPS or similar

(I) BMW X3 4x4 - GPS or similar

(N) BMW 5 Series 4x4 or similar

(S) Mercedes Benz E-Class 4x4 - GPS or similar

(V5) Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio

(I6) BMW X5 30d 4x4 - GPS

Please note that international one-way rentals are not allowed for the following vehicle groups:

European Union residents driving into Austria for 8 days or more, please contact your Reservation Centre.

 

All Hertz vehicles registered in Switzerland display the “Highway Sticker” (vignette) as required by Swiss law to travel on Swiss motorways. The drivers of foreign vehicles entering Switzerland can buy the highway stickers at the customs, Swiss post offices and some gas stations.

*Please refer to "Congestion Charging" in the Rental Qualifications & Requirements of the United Kingdom if you intend to drive or to drop the vehicle off in Central London.

 

*Please refer to "Environmental zones" in the German Rental Qualifications & Requirements if you intend to drive to or drop the vehicle in Germany.

 

Should these restrictions be ignored, all insurance (Third Party Liability, CDW, TP, Super Cover, PI), if accepted, shall be deemed null and void. The driver will be held fully responsible in case of damage to or loss of the vehicle and will bear all consequences, including the cost of repatriation of the damaged vehicle.
